Scale-up: The Second SPLET Tech Conference Held

This year as well, with the support of USAID, we, together with colleagues from the "Venture an Idea" project, implemented by a consortium gathered around the "Digital Serbia" Initiative, organized the SPLET Tech - the leading regional conference on innovations and innovative entrepreneurship.

On October 10th, across 9 simultaneous stages, 70 lectures, interactive Q&A sessions, workshops, panels, and motivational speeches were held. At this year's SPLET, more than 120 speakers from Serbia, the region, and the world addressed participants. In addition, this SPLET Tech conference was marked by a public pitching session, held with the support of A1 company, where representatives of VC funds and private investors were introduced to 5 domestic startups, and the victory went to Sign Avatar.

Speakers at the second SPLET Tech conference talked about scaling businesses, accessing international markets, current trends, as well as their entrepreneurial experiences and the future of technology. Among the SPLET speakers were numerous guests, representatives of ecosystems from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia, as well as VC funds from the region. Participants also heard about the activities that the first supercluster in Serbia, Excellent 3, will implement in the next two years with the aim of positioning the domestic web3 and blockchain scene at the center of global events.

The conference program was complemented by an expo zone where visitors could enjoy various activations organized by conference partners. Another opportunity for startups to present themselves at SPLET was the startup zone, where 30 startups had the opportunity to showcase innovative solutions.

The U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, visited SPLET and toured the startup zone, engaging in conversations with conference speakers. Brook Isham, the director of the USAID mission in Serbia, also visited the MTS hall, where she met numerous Serbian startups that presented their innovative solutions to her.
