Serbian health-tech startups entering the US market

The pilot supercluster "Laboratory of Health Technologies" held a Meetup for its members on Wednesday, October 26th on the topic of the entry of Serbian health startups into the American market.

Representatives of three startups operating in the field of healthcare, medicine and biotechnology presented their experiences after cooperation with companies operating in foreign markets. A particular focus is placed on the challenges and opportunities that arise when entering a new market, as well as recommendations for other members to choose the best business option.

Ivan Soldatović, from Baby FM, summarized his experiences and legal entanglements in negotiations with investors from abroad. After that, Ana Begenišić in front of the company HeartPalTech spoke about all the regulatory and real barriers to entering the new market, while Marija Lesjak and Nataša Simin as representatives of HerbElixa and FeJuice shared their experiences of entering the Amazon.

In addition to the startup stories, at the Meetup, Slobodan Zebić also presented the Access to Finance component of the Serbia Innovira project and the support that supercluster members can receive. After panel discussion, there was networking where the participants got to know each other better and additionally exchanged experiences and explored potential collaborations.
