Open call for the BioSens accelerator
We invite innovative startups from the IT and agricultural sector to participate in the third edition of the Biosense accelerator and in this way continue the good practice of providing support to innovative entrepreneurs in developing ideas that will contribute to the digital transformation of agriculture. The deadline for applications is February 1, 2023.
Through intensive training, personal mentorship, and access to BioSens research resources, the BioSens accelerator will provide the opportunity for local IT entrepreneurs to contribute to the digitalization of agriculture through the development of new solutions and the improvement of existing ones.
The program will bring together over 20 mentors from the country and abroad, who will use their expertise, experience, contacts, and ideas to help new tech entrepreneurs test the feasibility and sustainability of their business ideas and digital solutions, and turn their ideas and products into a sustainable business venture.
The program will be realized during a three-month course in the spring of 2023, from March to June, and is intended for startups that:
- Develop and apply innovations and IT solutions for agriculture and the food sector;
- Solve a real market problem by working on improving existing solutions or digitizing previously analog solutions.
Up to ten startups will be selected for participation in the program. The work will be carried out through two weekly workshops (live and online) held by experts with experience, and themed meetings, conferences, and other events will play a significant role. In addition to mentorship support, teams will also have the scientific support of the BioSens Institute in transferring knowledge, accessing necessary data sets, scientific-research equipment, and/or test farms - resources that are essential for the development of digital products.
The best teams will have the opportunity to participate in a large regional final event (Demo Day), where they will present their ideas to an international audience and an international network of investors.
Applications for the third generation of the BioSens accelerator are open until February 1, 2023. A pitch deck of 10 slides and a completed application are required for the application.
