Supercluster workshops held in three cities in Serbia

Between November 30th and December 2nd of 2021, we had the opportunity to introduce the business and academic public of Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš to the supercluster model in practice.

Over 60 representatives of startups, companies and the academic community from these cities simulated this economic model over three days, intending to develop innovative solutions through cooperation that would stimulate the national economy.

All the workshops were moderated by Afonso Rebelo de Sousa, an expert on corporate innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer who has worked for prestigious companies such as Adidas and Linkedin.

De Sousa, who took the workshop participants through all phases of building a supercluster, expressed his satisfaction with what was seen in Belgrade, Niš, and Novi Sad and said that all stakeholders were exceptional in situations where they had to work together to solve challenges to achieve common goals. He also praised the talent and ambition of the participants and pointed out that he expected considerable success for the supercluster in Serbia.

Participants of the interactive workshops had a similar impression, assessing this event as an essential experience and an extraordinary opportunity to cooperate and improve their businesses, create new opportunities, and influence the economic development of our country.

Since some participants announced cooperation and participation in the upcoming pilot superclusters in 2022, it can be said that the answer to the question in the slogan of these workshops, "Are we accelerating the future by cooperating on innovation?" is affirmative.
